Even with a small membership, this Club feels it acoomplishs a lot. Their Fundraising Events include a Garage Sale, a Used Book Sale and an Auction. The Zonta Club of Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte Area Foundation, Inc., established in July, 1989, awards a minimum of 5 scholarships annually. Teir Service Projects include: Habitat for Humanity * Center for Abuse and Rape Emergency (CARE) * Domestic Violence Task Force * Adopt-a-Highway * Charlotte Harbor School Christmas Shopping Spree * the Baker Center * Head Start in Charlotte County. Their International Service Projects include: Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship * Amelia Earhart Fellowship * Young Women in Public Affairs.
