The Zonta clubs of Areas 3 & 4 will host the 2019 District Conference. Conference Co-Chairs, Judy White & Bernadette Gibson announced the Conference will be held October 3-5 at the Doubletree by Hilton at the entrance to Universal in Orlando, FL. Early-bird registration ends on September 1, 2019. The Conference will feature a Zonta International guest, and speakers on domestic violence, child marriage, and other topics related to Zonta’s mission.
We will also elect our new district board for the coming biennium and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Zonta International! Expect fun centennial surprises and come prepared to attend the Gala Saturday evening dressed in the clothing of your favorite decade! (1919 to 2019)

A representative from each club in District 11 should complete this form for their club. Please submit this information as soon as possible, and no later than September 15, 2019.
This is the major fundraiser for District 11. Each club is asked to donate an item or items worth $100 to the raffle. Ideas include gift baskets, gift cards, Zonta branded items, or any special raffle item
Now retired, Margaret spent 50 years in the workforce—the last 25 years as electorate office manager for a Member of Parliament. Previously, she managed motels and a restaurant and was private secretary to the managing director of Hoyts Cinemas Australia. Her background in secretarial and business studies, together with a bachelor’s degree in politics and philosophy, are the foundations for her passion for advocacy and community service. Margaret first joined Zonta for a year as charter secretary of the Zonta Club of Darwin. She later joined the Zonta Club of Port Macquarie in 1998, which gave Margaret a “family” and focus. She has since served in leadership positions at club and district levels. Margaret plays golf and enjoys the company of friends.
In addition to being the Executive Director of the Not Just Me Foundation, Julie Weil is an active member of the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) Speaker’s Bureau, the Rape Kit Action Project and is the survivor representative on the Palm Beach County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV). Julie has also presented at nurse trainings across Florida organized by FCASV and helped to pass legislation including the Florida Senate Bill 636 pertaining to the rape kit backlog and the SAFER Act, a part of the 2013 VAWA Reauthorization. She is the founder of “Keeping Moms Safe”, a safety program she presents to women’s groups nationwide in hopes that it will help increase vigilance and save lives. As one of the primary inspirations behind the creation of Butterfly House, Palm Beach County's first centralized forensic exam center, Julie is personally committed through this Foundation to providing personal care and comfort items for the survivors that walk through its doors.
