Club Facts

Chartered on May 1, 1990
Membership of nearly 50
Meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Meetings are held at the Sombrero Country Club in Marathon, FL

The Club was chartered in 1990 with 21 members and now boasts nearly 50 members from the Middle Keys. In 1997, the Zonta Club of Marathon became the youngest club to receive the prestigious Governor's Cup for outstanding achievement within the District.

Scolarship Programs include: Adut Women Scholarships * Amelia Earhart Fellowship Awards * Leadership Monroe * Tech Prep Award * Young Women in Public Affairs * Z-Club Award. Some of the Clubs Service Projects include: Adopt-A-Family (SHARE) * Community Environmental Projects * Dolfried Day - Dolphin Research Center * Domestic Abuse Shelter * Habitat for Humanity * Literacy ProgramZonta Zebra * Take a Young Woman to Work Day * Tutor Companion * Women's Health Awareness. The Club's Fundraising Projects include: Keys Lite Cookbook * Radio Day * Rubber Ducky Race.
